About the Movie

 In a dystopian post-apocalyptic world, a large closed community called 'The Collective' survives on whatever they can hunt, grow and salvage. Their primary source of power and heat – coal from a mine they fiercely protect.

In this world where fear is control and control is safety – the future of The Collective rests in Mara's hands.  Days before her ceremonial initiation to the prestigious ruling circle known as The Council she uncovers dark truths about her family and the values of her community. In order to be inducted and fulfill her birthright as it’s next leader, she must choose between accepting the relative evils of preservation and survival her community religiously enforces or break from the pack and trust her own moral compass no matter the consequences.
